    No, whether students attend online or in-center, they receive the same quality of live face-to-face instruction. Online students follow the same personalized learning plans and receive caring support from our specially trained tutors.

    We offer a flat monthly membership that includes in-center or online sessions, along with a one-time enrollment fee. Most students attend two to three times per week.

  • Is there a difference between the cost of online and in-center tutoring?

    There is no difference! Membership pricing is the same for all students, whether they choose to attend sessions online, in person, or use a hybrid approach. 

  • Why do you require an assessment for enrollment?

    Each student begins their Mathnasium journey with a diagnostic assessment that helps us understand their current skill level, learning gaps, and goals. We use these insights us to build a personalized learning plan that supports their unique path to math success. 

  • How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

    At Mathnasium of Point Loma, we use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary approach that combines personalized learning plans with proven instructional techniques to help students truly understand and even enjoy math.  

    Following this approach, our specially trained tutors build on students' existing knowledge, introducing new concepts step-by-step to gradually increase their mathematical thinking, while developing lasting confidence and competence in math.

    Yes! We empower students of all skill levels to reach their full potential in math.
